Access Guide: Nozawa Onsen

From Tokyo

Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Iiyama Station (approximately 1 hour 40 minutes). From Iiyama Station, take the Nozawa Onsen Liner direct bus (approximately 25 minutes). The bus drops you at the central Nozawa Onsen bus terminal in the heart of the village.

By Car

From Tokyo, take the Kanetsu Expressway to the Joshinetsu Expressway, exiting at Toyota-Iiyama IC. Follow Route 117 to Nozawa Onsen village. Total driving time is approximately 3 hours. Parking is available at the resort base areas, though spaces can fill quickly on weekends.

Local Transport

The compact village is walkable, and free shuttle buses connect the village to the Nagasaka and Hikage gondola base stations during the ski season.
