Access Guide: Ontake 2240
From Tokyo
Take the JR Chuo Line limited express Shinano from Nagoya or the Chuo Line from Shinjuku to Kiso-Fukushima Station (approximately 3 hours from Shinjuku). From Kiso-Fukushima Station, take the resort shuttle bus (approximately 40 minutes). Shuttle bus reservations are recommended.
By Car
From Tokyo, take the Chuo Expressway, exiting at Ina IC or Nakatsugawa IC. Follow Route 19 and then local roads up to the resort. Total driving time is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours. Free parking is available at the resort base.
Local Transport
The resort shuttle bus from Kiso-Fukushima Station operates during ski season with limited departures. Having a rental car is highly recommended for this remote resort.
