Access Guide: Shiga Kogen

From Tokyo

Take the Hokuriku Shinkansen from Tokyo Station to Nagano Station (approximately 1 hour 20 minutes). From Nagano Station, take the Nagaden Express Bus to Shiga Kogen (approximately 70 minutes). The bus makes multiple stops throughout the vast Shiga Kogen ski area.

By Car

From Tokyo, take the Kanetsu Expressway or Joshinetsu Expressway to Shinshu-Nakano IC. Follow Route 292 up to Shiga Kogen. Total driving time is approximately 3.5 hours. Multiple parking areas are available throughout the resort complex.

Local Transport

Free shuttle buses circulate between the 18 interconnected ski areas that make up Shiga Kogen. A single lift pass covers the entire resort complex.
